Five Inspiring Moment from Ep 7 & 8 of Twenty-Five Twenty-One

Annyeong everyone, meet with me again, Rinan 😊 We will have a review session on episodes 7 & 8 Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Let’s check it out!

Episodes 7 and 8 of Twenty-Five Twenty-One show the viewers about Na Hee Do, Baek Yi Jin and Ko Yu Rim’s challenges and how their struggle to overcome from those problems that inspires others. These two episodes are aired on Netflix and TvN on 5 and 6 February 2022 and got first place for the most awaited episodes. These episodes follow the path of the successful Na Hee Do who won gold medal at Asian Games 1999 from Yu Rim, but her final match caused controversy from Korean citizens as they expected that Yu Rim is more worthy to win in the first place rather than Hee Do. Baek Yi Jin tries to help Hee Do as far as he can and finally the problem is solved. The other problem comes from Yu Rim and her family who experienced the lack of money and financial problems that caused Hee Do to realize how hard Yu Rim’s life is. Baek Yi Jin is working as a news reporter and he saves his money and gives it to people who are in need. All moments sound really interesting and inspiring, don’t they?

Here are the top five inspiring moments from Episodes 7 and 8 Twenty Five Twenty One:

1.      Na Hee Do’s insight into Min Chae

The inspiring moment begins on the very first of the seventh episode, in the present day when adult Na Hee Do and her daughter, Kim Min Chae, have a conversation about dreams when they are watering the flowers and painting the fence. Hee Do gives Min Chae permission to quit ballet if she only liked it for compliments, but asks her to reconsider giving up if she genuinely loves ballet itself and only wanted to quit because she was not seeing immediate improvement. Hee Do explains Min Chae that hard work to achieve a dream is like a staircase that has to be climbed slowly to get to the top. And sometimes people actually give up, not because they are unwilling to go on but hesitate and keep them stuck in that place. Hee Do’s insight inspires Min Chae to reconsider her decision to stop doing ballet. These scenes actually really inspire others to not give up on their dreams.

2.  Na Hee Do’s memories with her father

In the seventh episode we learn that Hee Do is starting fencing due to her father, who encouraged her to try the sport. However, when she has already loved those fields and tried to learn fencing, her father passed away from an illness before he could see her win a gold medal. Her father urged her to only keep going with fencing for her enjoyment, not for wins or pursue praise from others. Her father wants to see her be happy in every way she’s passing and in every decision she’s making. Na Hee Do always remember her father advise that success is some in steps like a staircase, not a straight line. These scenes, for some people, might make them burst into tears and show us a portrait of how a father loves his daughter and wants her to be happy.

3. The struggle of Na Hee Do to win the gold medal

After success to raise her dream and become a rival for her idol, Na Hee Do will sacrifice all the skills she has to fight against Ko Yu Rim. The gold medal match was intense. In the beginning of the match, it seems Yu Rim really dominated the game and the score left Na Hee Do. However, there is no word for giving up on Hee Do. During the game, her memories with her father always come to mind and from those memories she promised never to let her father, who had passed away, see her weakness. In the middle of the game, Yu Rim’s sword breaks clean off the hilt, shattering her nerves and allowing Hee Do to make up a few points. They are really tied going into the final point. At the final point, finally Hee Do got the point that made her win the game. Na Hee Do indirectly shows us to not even let anyone stop our dream in the middle of our hard work to achieve it.

4.  Na Hee Do’s controversial victory

After the referee makes a decision that Na Hee Do wins the game, Ko Yu Rim challenges it. She is so over reacting and crumbling in tears and she feels that the gold medal should be her, not Hee Do. As Yu Rim behaves like that, all citizens in Korea who already love Yu Rim express outrage and against Hee Do by accusing Hee Do of stealing Yu Rim’s medal and even speculating she may have bribed the referee. Because of the chaotic situation, at a live press conference, she takes off her medal and runs out. The inspiring moment comes from Yi Jin who helps Hee Do to solve the problem. Yi Jin shows his greatest support for Hee Do when Yi Jin chases down the referee and convinces him to give a statement reiterating that Hee Do won fairly. As the controversy starts to blow over, we know that Yi Jin’s support for Hee Do is really inspiring.

5. Yu Rim and her financial problem

The last moment came from Yu Rim and her family who were experienced with financial difficulty. In the scene shows that Yu Rim ends up at the top of a high-dive board in what at first appears to be a suicide attempt. However, she did like that as a response to how exhausted she was. She does not allow anyone to see her weaknesses, including her father and her mother, but Hee Do accidently knows it. Yu Rim is so inspiring because she knows that the sport that she chose was tough for her family to swing financially, so she feels she has to be the very best to repay them for everything they have sacrificed for her.

So, yeorobun, those are the top five inspiring moments from episodes 7 and 8 Twenty Five Twenty One. I hope you can be inspired by those five moments and I hope you will get something after reading this article. To conclude, I wanna ask you all, which moments that inspired you the most?
